Fidel Castro Through The Eyes of a Taxi Driver
I went to Cuba in 2018 with my late wife Denise, it was really nice, the best section of it was our tour with two lovely guys in one of them old American vehicles, that the yare forever using. The oldest one we saw was a 1930s Ford, but it had had that much work done it, that it was like Chittby Bang Bang, or Rodneys broom. The cars have Skoda engines now and go off road for two months a year for servicing, which is very intensive and the law. And they fly.
On the raod, I saw this giant poster board of Mr.Fidel Castro, it was the only one I saw so I was lucky to get this off. This was one the road to Havana from Varadero (not the real Cuba) where we stayed.
So we have in a sense, Fidel through the eyes of a cab driver.
Cuba is a beautful country, well worth a visit, the condors soar above, the humming birds even come to Varadero, the birds sing gaily in the bushes and friendships remain forever. No need to worry about politics or the military, it is more open than you think, and there are Western hotels being built all over Varedero, and that money comes from capitalism.
This was a shaky photo taken in the back of a 50s cadillac, so with a touch of editing, I managed to bring it back into the light, thankfully as it is one of my favoruites (Gimp Ai rendering)
